Welcome to Week 21 of 2026!
This week, we’re going to play with a newer feature in Sigma: Chat Elements. These elements can be very powerful, but we’re keeping it simple today.
To complete this challenge, you must work in Sigma Public. Our Workout Wednesday instance does not have AI enabled. We are going to be moving these challenges to Sigma Public now that it is available.

Need access to Sigma Public?
Requirements
The goal of this challenge is to create a chat element that can interact with data on your workbook. To do this, you can create a workbook with any data available in the Sample Database, or create a duplicate of my Base Workbook and start from there.
Chat Element
Add a chat UI element with access to the underlying data in your workbook. If you like, you could add Actions or other configurations as well.
Tips
- Best practice is to bring your warehouse table into a workbook on a hidden data page. By doing this, you can configure your agent to have access to this dataset and get greater insights than just individual elements on the visible workbook page.
