Week 9: Highlighting all points in the year

This week we are going to be working with Dashboard Highlighting, and a bit of experimentation.

Requirements

  • Show the difference between White and Minority Players as a percent of Total Players by year
  • Shade the Area between the two lines Grey
  • When hovering over a year, the labels for White and Minority players will appear
  • *BIG ONE* You can hover any above, between or below the Two Lines to trigger the dashboard action.

This week utilizes the Baseball Diversity dataset from #MakeoverMonday W6. You can get it here at Data.World

As you complete this example, feel free to share on Twitter using the #WorkoutWednesday hashtag. Don’t forget to tag @RodyZakovich, and @LukeStanke. We really want to see your work.

Also, if you want your efforts throughout 2018 tracked, feel free to fill out this Google Form.

Good luck!

It’s fun to learn adding one more layer to the stacked chart.
